Giant Bicycles

Giant was established in 1972 with a single goal to “create a better cycling experience for people around the world”. The Taiwanese company expanded from its manufacturing roots to establish themselves as the world’s biggest bike brand, responsible for producing some of the highest-performing and most affordable bikes and accessories on the market.

Ever since the creation of its first lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber frames, Giant has lead the way in bringing affordable high-quality craftsmanship and engineering to the masses, allowing many people to experience cycling in a way that they might not have had access to otherwise.

Supported by the three guiding principles of craftsmanship, innovation, and inspiration, the brand has continually pioneered and innovated new and exciting technologies over the journey. Most evident in the late 90’s where Giant revolutionized road bike geometry with the Total Compact Road design, with the popular frame style still in production (known as ‘TCR’) and mimicked by the competition today.

In addition to frame design, the Taiwanese company are also credited with bringing the world's first affordable carbon fiber bike to market in the form of the Cadex 980 c, as well as more recently progressing the mountain biking world with the Maestro suspension system. Both technologies which delivered a new level of performance to riders on and off road.
